Catching up

Ok so I have not written in a while and I really did not mean to do that. Life just got busy :) Our little princes is now 18 months (well she will be on Saturday) we are out of school for the summer (have been since mid  May) we took a trip to New Mexico (had a great time seeing family) and I am enjoying staying home most days of the week (I only go into the office 1-2 days a week)
I have decided I absolutely love being home all day and I can not wait for the chance to be a full time stay at home mom. I realize there are difficulties (princes has her moments like any other child) but I love having the house work done, dinner started, and everything ready so that when daddy gets home it's family time! I have started getting into a cleaning routine and it still needs some work, but it is getting there.
I have a laundry schedule that I have started no so far it is going very well. I also have broken e house into sections and each section has a day of the week to be cleaned, so far that is working nicely too. I realize there will always be times when things won't work how they are planned, or our schedule gets thrown off for one reason or another (camp, vbs, ect.) but I like having a plan that is working and if the plans stops working, well then I will change it so it starts working again.
Part of my daily routine will be working on this blog, I have some things planned and I am pretty excited about this summer.

Taking time out

For any of you that know me very well and know where we live you will know that my life and schedule is CRAZY!!!

My husband and I both work from 7-3:30/4:00 every day. We also run the church youth group and jr church program. Both of those are very time consuming. My husband is also taking classes on Tuesday nights and we are raising our 14 month old daughter.

Recently we have been going non stop every day. We have had things going on every evening as well as every weekend.

This week is valentines week and we have things going on most nights this week as well. Because of this we will be celebrating on Friday!

Levi has made plans for me all day on Friday. He has gotten me the day off of work and had made surprise plans for me! I have yet to find out what they are and will not find out until Friday morning.

I am so excited to have a day off just to relax and rest. I do know that I will be meeting up with Levi for dinner and I can not wait!

I hope all of you have a great valentines day as well! (And yes I will tell you what my surprise day was!)

Getting in Shape

This year I am determined to work out/loose weight/get in shape. I have recently purchased a fitbit. It is a pedometer on steroids. No actually it is a pretty neat little device. You set it up with your computer (or phone) and you clip it on and it tells you how many steps you have taken, how many calories you have burned, how many flights of stairs you have climbed, how well you sleep, and a few other things. You can use the web page or phone app to add food and water and workouts. It will also let you add friends so you can see what they are doing and vise versa. It is really a neat little thing and it is a good motivator. You really want to see your number of steps go up and it really makes you try hard to walk more.

I want to take care of myself so that I will be here on this earth for many many years. I want to take good care of myself and make myself look good and attractive for my husband. I know he loves me and thinks I'm beautiful, but I want to make sure I stay that way. I want to make sure I am on this earth to watch my children grow and see my grand kids.

God has only given me one life and one body, I need to live my life for Him, and take care of my body so I can live in it for many many years.

Daddy cooked dinner

As some of you may know I work as a secretary in a Christian school and we are under construction in our office area. It will be very nice when it is over, however for the time being it is quite a different environment in the school building.

Today I was at the back desk working when about 5 kids came running down the hallway screaming about something, it was quite a serious thing that I ended up having to deal with. In getting to the situation, I had to jump over some boxes, run down a hallway, deal with a bunch of students, and move a teachers desk. By the end of it all I hurt my back pretty bad. I am not sure what happened, but I ended up being hurt bad enough I was unable to even pick up our daughter.

In the way home I was talking to my husband and trying to figure out how I was going to make dinner, when my loving husband offered to pick up dinner for us! That made me so happy! I love to cook for my family and I am trying new recipes and trying to cook even more, but tonight was just not a night I was going to be able to cook.

He picked up Ledo's for dinner and took us home, he took care of Grace and let me lay down and rest. It is so good to have a husband who is so loving and kind to me. He understands when I need a bit of help and he helps me.

If you are married you have a good man too! You need to remember to be thankful for him. God gave each of us the man we are to have and we need to remember to be loving and kind to that man. Don't start thinking about what your life would have been like if you had married someone different. We need to show our man how grateful we are that he is who he is. We need to show him that we love him and that he is the best man we could ever have.

Showing your husband that you love and appreciate him is a great way to Make your house more of a home.

Love Letters

I love my husband very much, but sometimes I don't feel like I show it very well. I think everyone has moments like that right? No? OK well maybe its just me, but anyway, this year I decided to do something special for my husband. I am writing him a love letter every day. It has only been two days, and He likes it already! I hope to keep it up every day this year, that is my goal.

The Bible says in Titus 2:4b ...to love their husbands... this verse is talking about the older women teaching the younger woman to be good wives, and mothers. We as ladies need to learn to be good wives, and there are many ladies in the churches today who are the older woman who do not love their husbands the way they should. Do I love my husband the way I should? Do I do everything I can to show him that I love him?

I want to show my husband this year that I do love him, it is my way of Making my House a little more of a Home.
